"WEDnet PA" is a name that has been used frequently in the business community and provides guaranteed free training to eligible manufacturing companies.
The mission of WEDnet PA (Workforce and Economic Development Network of Pennsylvania) is to strengthen the business environment of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania by providing a training network that is responsive to employer's workforce needs. Through this stream of funding, a qualified business (size is irrelevant), can access funds to aid them in free training for basic skills as well as information technology. Many local companies were awarded WEDnet PA funds this past year.
Some examples of basic skills training would be: leadership training, teambuilding, Excel, problem solving, technical math and blueprint reading. The information technology programs can span areas from CNC to Microsoft Project and Web Design.
If you feel your business may benefit from this training and you would like more information, please contact the Continuing Education Department for additional information so that you can be linked to a WEDNet partner.
